Portland Driving Education: Please Add "The Zipper" to Your Curriculum.

In Portland, as soon as I get on the road, everyone turns into a senior citizen.

This is what merging should look like:

These people's faces = what people in Portland actually look like when they're driving.
The people in the video's inability to fix the zipper = how Portland drivers perform when attempting the zipper merge.

The weird feeling you got from watching the second video is exactly how I feel when I watch people drive here.  I'd find a video that's comparable to this city's ability to parallel park, but I'm afraid that it might cause gaping retinal holes.*
